I was just thinking about that last night, how the Gospel divides. I used to feel almost threatened by that fact, but lately not so much. I have also been reading Paul Tournier, who makes some healthy statements about regeneration. A lot of the time, people who are opposed to hearing the Gospel are simply immature. Most people who have matured beyond the errors of former years, whether they want to actually become Christians or not, are not opposed to the actual words that Jesus spoke in the Gospels. It's only when people associate Christianity too heavily with either religion or politics that I run into trouble when I talk with them. But in cases like that, it's only the evidence of the god of this world having blinded their minds, and I can tell because they aren't really listening when I tell them that it's all about Him. Anyhow that Table Talk is right-on about letting go and leaving the results to God.
