jeff, hopefully it is nothing at all serious and you will be up and about in a few days, anyway, but as your online friend and a former tx workers' comp adjustor, i feel it necessary to give a couple words of warning. first, most back injuries (excluding fractures and that kind of thing) heal on their own, usually within about 2 weeks, but no more than 12 weeks, max. So don't let the dr's talk you into any crazy procedures. for now, stick to the meds, ice packs, and taking it easy - coz i am sure you are in crazy pain at the moment - but don't talk anything like injections or surgery. trust me, if they are a back doctor in texas, chances are about 95/100 that they will try. and since you are going to be a>in pain or b>drugged up, you aren't going to be in the best capacity for decision making. ok, there's my .2 cents (the economy, ya know ;) )

"My note: I, personally, don't think for a minute that God's grace and power aren't sufficient; it's more that I tend to think he doesn't want to answer my prayers because I'm not worthy for one reason or another." That would be my note, too. I never doubt his power, but I often doubt his interest. On another note, I think you might appreciate the fifth point on my Gratitude List for today (Saturday Morning), being as we might have something along those lines in common.
